What is Stem Cell Therapy?
Stem cells can be used to prevent and treat various diseases.
Where do we get Stem Cells from?
Stem Cells obtained from bone marrow are the most widely used, Bioss Células Madre® also obtain cells from the bone marrow.
What is Stem Cell Therapy?
Stem Cell Therapy is a regenerative treatment consisting in autologous transplantation (i.e. from the patient) of stem cells by extracting blood from bone marrow for application to the affected area.
It is an outpatient procedure lasting for approximately half a day.
Why do we get stem cells from the bone marrow?
With autologous treatments (i.e. from the patient), we obtain the stem cells from the bone marrow of the patient to prevent the risk of immune rejection. In this way, you do not have to worry that the new stem cells could attack your body or cause an infection. This makes our treatment the safer choice.
In addition, these cells can be applied directly to the area we want to regenerate, this cannot be done by other methods.

Process
1. Evaluation
Schedule an appointment with one of our medical specialists to evaluate whether you are a candidate for therapy and you will sign a consent for the procedure.
Depending on the condition to be treated, we will ask for the required tests.
2. Stimulation
We will make the required tests and prepare you for therapy (by stimulating increased production of stem cells).
3. Procedure
The procedure is done in three phases: the first is the extraction of stem cells, the second is to separate the cells at our laboratory by a unique process done by Bioss and the third is the application.
4. Follow-up
Follow-up appointments on the day after therapy, then after one month and again after 6 months.
Our follow-ups aim to monitor progress and results.
